Club-Wide Activities
While the life of Fortnightly largely occurs within its many Interest Groups, members are invited to a minimum of three club-wide gatherings each year with speakers from the University of Missouri and Columbia communities. New and returning members get acquainted at the annual Fall Welcome. Club members also gather in December for a holiday luncheon and fundraiser. A club-wide luncheon and business meeting is held each spring to elect the new members of the Leadership Team. Other club-wide activities include, for example, a Shakespeare’s Pizza Fundraiser in the fall and spring as well as a Plant Your Garden Fundraiser at the Strawberry Hill Farms in April and May. Leadership Team
The Fortnightly Club Leadership Team consists of members who volunteer to see that the club runs smoothly. The leadership team consists of 10 to 14 members. The team meets regularly to report on the progress of plans for future Club activities and outcomes of recent activities. Additional business includes disbursing monies as indicated in the adopted budget and approving the activities of the committees.
